Speech medicine is a medicine that specializes in communication disorders. It is associated with normal, pathological, and occupational processes including speech, speech, language, swallowing, and hearing. It is not only a specific discipline, but also a discipline that combines the accumulation of knowledge in medical and non-medical sciences. The Department of Otolaryngology (ORL) and the Council of the European Union of Specialized Physicians (UEMS) have decided on "Speechology - Communication Disorders" as one of the seven subspecialties of Otolaryngology. Many non-medical specialties also contribute to speech disorders. These are sometimes called language and language pathology, audiology, linguistics, child development, psychology, child psychology, physical therapy, acoustics, physics, biomedicine, pedagogy, and computer information technology.
